KEYNOTE SPEAKER & PANELIST

Bring thoughtful strategic thinking insights to your next event

In the rapidly changing landscape of leadership, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily whirlwind

My keynote, panel and podcast conversations offer fresh perspectives on strategic thinking, enabling leaders to step back from the rush of daily demands, rise above the noise, tackle challenges head-on, and think strategically in every situation.

From military leadership to business psychology

I love a challenge. And I bring that energy to the stage. After years spent as a competitive sportsperson, a Military Psychologist and later as a strategic thinking specialist, I’ve learned that aside from the all-important people skills - resilience, adaptability, and focus are at the core of effective strategic leadership.

In my 11 years with the Navy, I worked with leaders across all levels to optimise their performance under pressure, developing a unique perspective on strategy that weaves the principles of human psychology with the daily realities of leading businesses and organisations.

I've navigated strategic challenges of my own through small business ownership and leadership roles in the New Zealand Defence Force, and I've worked with people in public, private, non-profit and Iwi-owned organisations to navigate theirs.

Today, I draw on those experiences to educate, entertain and empower others to perform at their best and drive lasting change.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Nina for the Humans at Work podcast (Episode 16, Linking Actions to Goals). Nina’s exciting and unique work history in the Navy as well as her psychologist expertise gives her a pragmatic and usable approach to strategy development. Her approach to democratising strategy by demystifying it and supporting people to have the confidence to understand their own thinking is both inspirational and comforting at the same time! Anyone who listens to Nina talk will come away understanding that there are ways to change their thinking habits that are easy to embed and apply in work and life.
